Verdine Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 26, 2026
Verdine is a general-audience restaurant trust service operated by Yaqin Works Inc. that helps people understand restaurant trust signals using public health inspection information, place discovery, and app-generated context. This policy applies to the Verdine mobile app and website and explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. In this policy, "Verdine," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Yaqin Works Inc.
Information We Collect
Verdine does not require an account and does not ask you to submit profile information to use the app. If you grant location permission in the mobile app, Verdine may process your current device location to rank restaurant search results near you. Verdine does not store precise device location. When you use Verdine, we may process the following information:
- Location for search relevance: optional current device location used only to bias restaurant search results when you grant location permission.
- Search and restaurant activity: restaurant search text, selected place or restaurant identifiers, viewed restaurant records, match status, inspection history and sharing interactions, and optional match feedback you submit.
- App and device context: a randomly generated installation ID, a Firebase-generated app-instance identifier, app version, platform, session and request timestamps, IP address, and basic request metadata used to operate, protect, and understand use of the service.
- Security and integrity signals: app or device verification signals used to help protect Verdine from automated misuse and invalid app traffic.
- Public restaurant source data: public inspection records, restaurant source mappings, and place-discovery information used to produce Verdine trust summaries. Verdine does not currently store third-party review text or review author profiles.
How We Use Information
- Provide restaurant search, restaurant detail, and inspection-context features.
- Rank search results near your current area when you grant location permission.
- Match restaurants carefully against public health inspection records.
- Protect the API from abuse, automated misuse, and invalid app traffic.
- Measure aggregate app adoption, retention, and feature engagement.
- Monitor reliability, troubleshoot errors, maintain security, and improve quality.
- Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
Verdine does not sell personal information, serve ads, or provide account-based social features. Verdine uses Google Firebase Analytics to measure app usage. Analytics does not receive search text, precise location, restaurant or place identifiers, restaurant names or addresses, advertising identifiers, or a Verdine user ID.
Service Providers and Public Sources
Verdine relies on service providers for hosting, database infrastructure, security, service reliability, analytics, and place discovery. Google provides Firebase Analytics and processes app-instance, session, and product-interaction information to provide aggregate usage reporting. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to Verdine.
Verdine also uses public government or health-authority inspection sources. Those public records remain subject to the source that publishes them.
Retention and Security
We retain app and service records for as long as reasonably needed to provide Verdine, maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, comply with legal obligations, and improve service reliability. Public inspection and restaurant source records may be retained as part of Verdine's restaurant trust database. Installation-level request, diagnostic, and feedback records may be deleted or de-identified when they are no longer needed for these purposes.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Requests
- You can stop using Verdine at any time.
- You can clear app data or reinstall the app where supported by your platform to reset local app data stored on your device. Server-side records already created by your use of Verdine may continue to be retained, deleted, or de-identified as described above.
- You can contact us to request access, deletion, correction, or other privacy support related to information reasonably associated with your use of Verdine.
Changes and Contact
We may update this policy as Verdine changes. If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date.
